Over the course of five years, she worked her way up to program coordinator and production director before making the jump to New York City to pursue work for a bigger screen. She has worked as a production assistant on TV and film sets across the city, while completing two television pilot scripts in her free time. TIFFANY TATE A creative media professional with more than 15 years of editorial experience, Tiffany began her writing career in Boston as a columnist at a community newspaper, later becoming the display advertising coordinator for a daily newspaper and the lead Style News writer for an arts and culture magazine in the Southeast, where she highlighted fashion news, runway events and style trends across the globe. Those columns continue to garner national syndication. Tiffany was also handpicked to lead as the executive director to revive a defunct fashion publication with high merit.
Dedicated to providing emerging designers a unique platform of exposure, Tiffany
foundedLinger Magazine, a monthly luxury publication the features global industry creative talent across beauty, fashion, hair, makeup and modeling on an interactive platform, in May 2010. Overseeing its growth and development, her illustrious vision has led Linger to be ordained by PR Couture as one of the “8 Digital Fashion Magazines You Should Know” and praised by Niche Media as one of the “Top 10 Niche Magazines of 2012”. Solidifying her achievements in the publis hing industry, Tiffany was tapped by Folio to become a judge for their annual Eddie & Ozzie Awards competition, a title that she has held since 2011.
Since she was 7 years old, Tiffany has loved fashion journalism. Her love for journalism began when she would watch the evening news and mimic the only African-American newswoman word for word. The anchorwoman’s likeness resonated with Tiffany, convincing her that one day she too could have a career in journalism. Her love for fashion began the day her cousin, former model Jennifer Brice, gave her one of her Ford Models comp card as a keepsake. Tiffany was mesmerized by the beauty of each photo. So much so, that when Tiffany would purchase a fashion magazine as a teen, she often compared the images in the publication to the images on the comp card. If the images in the publication did not evoke a strong enough emotion within her like the comp card images, she would return the magazine to its rack. Tiffany learned early that images need to be euphoric and linger within you, just as her cousin’s did with her. On that day, Tiffany promised herself that one day she would publish her own fashion magazine and name it Linger for that very reason.
